Get to Know Us

Owen S. Fenton, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pharmacoengineering and Molecular Pharmaceutics at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Owen conducted his Ph.D. and postdoctoral studies in the laboratories of Professors Daniel Anderson and Robert Langer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Research in the Fenton laboratory focuses broadly on the development of genetic medicines with a particular focus on the development of RNA therapeutics for the study, prevention, and treatment of disease. Research efforts in the laboratory are highly interdisciplinary and leverage skills from chemistry, pharmacy, biology, immunology, and engineering.
